PATHS AND TRAILS
Back in the old-town centre, in front of the bakery and near the Church, is an information panel indicating paths and routes through the area which you can enjoy later or on other occasions. A tourist map showing the Valle Cavallina trails is available at the information point.
The various paths, with appropriate coordinated signposts, represent further routes for trekkers or bikers. They cross ancient pathways up to the mountain pastures which surround the peaks of the Crocione and Pler mountains, between the various valleys whose history intersects in a fascinating and appealing location. Now from Bianzano proceed along the path marked with the number 602 which, in about 30 minutes, takes you to Ranzanico. The walk starts in the town square, close to the parish church of San Rocco; turn right into via Degli Asini and continue towards Bianzano Castle before descending along the wooded path that follows via dei Carpini and takes you to Ranzanico where the guided tour continues. Or, if you wish, you can hand back the audio guide in Bianzano and, using your own means of transport, reach the other information point of Ranzanico to continue the interesting journey through the area.
